The Boston Marathon 2009!Ethan and Sophia watch in awe... someday they'll run like that, too! :) My sweet Ethan and Sophia in the grocery store, on harnesses (very briefly for the first and last time). For some reason, I thought I would just tether them to the grocery cart and we would all shop along in relative bliss. Then reality hit. Not only did they HATE the harnesses, they also played tug of war with the grocery cart by going in opposite directions as far as they could go. When they began to lose ground, they both sat down and screamed in protest (this was in front of the deli counter). So, of course, my first response was to snap a quick pic on my iPhone before attempting to gather them up and sit them in the cart. Little did I know that they would be so outraged at having to RIDE that they would continue to protest until we left the store.
April was both busy and a lot of fun! Ethan and Sophia are changing and growing a little bit each day.
Steve and I both have a bit of news as well. Steve had a minor surgery in mid-April to repair a hernia. He wasn't able to lift the kids for 4 weeks. While Steve was recovering I got a couple new freelance projects that made my hours-per-week skyrocket. Between freelancing and taking care of the kids 100% on my own (how do single moms do it??), I didn't have much time for blogging. I'm writing the April blog tonight and hope (fingers crossed!) to write the May blog tomorrow. For all you fans out there, thanks for being so patient!
Ethan and Sophia have started doing things for the sole purpose of being funny. For example, Ethan decided to put a bib on his head and wear it like a hat...
Needless to say, Sophia thought this was pretty funny... Hee, hee, hee! :) Ethan and Sophia love to help put the groceries away... "This is so much fun!" Daddy's little girl... Ethan plays hide-and-seek behind the bouncy chair... Sophia gets in on the fun... "Where's Sophia??" "There she is!" Ethan decides to expand on his wear-a-bib-like-a-hat routine and put a circular piece of cardboard on his head like a hat... Hee... :) We went to Aunt Jo-Ann's house for Easter and all enjoyed Aunt Jo-Ann's fabulous ham... David, Aunt Jo-Ann, Cindy, and Barb... Aunt Jo-Ann has a curtain that hangs between her kitchen and pantry. Sophia and Ethan must have run through the curtain about 100 times! They had so much fun!
